A must-see! Frequently voted as the best zoo in the country, the San Diego Zoo has any animal you can imagine, but also boasts the largest and most valuable botanical collection in the world for those of you with a green thumb.

Balboa Park (you can visit the Zoo and Balboa Park same day, as they are right next to each other) - incredible architecture, Botanical garden, Japanese Gardens and Arts District - just a beautiful walk around.

Visit the famous seals, take in the incredible views and caves (Ashlyn was a docent for the seal preservation society in La Jolla when she was in middle school!)
